The team was unwilling to work with just one publisher

Prey 2 is now probably in development at Arkane Studios and it seems that the original developer Human Head was driven away from the project because it resisted an acquisition offer from publisher Bethesda.

Sources from the company are telling IGN that a new contract was offered, blocking Human Head from working on anything other than Prey 2.

At the same time, Bethesda said that it was unhappy with the quality of the game.

A source states, “It was one of few studios that could work with and improve id Technology. They wanted to buy us at a sweet price.”

Information about Prey 2 says that the game is currently being rebooted by the creators of Dishonored and that launch has been moved to 2016.

Human Head is apparently working on a new open world title set in a European city.
