Earlier this year, Kim Kardashian offered fans a first taste of her first foray into music, a heavily Auto-tuned song called “Jam (Turn It Up).” The video shot for it never came out, presumably because the single was so poorly received. It has emerged now.
As the video below and TooFab can both confirm, a 55-second preview of what should have been Kim’s first music video has emerged online – and is already viral.
Word has it that Kim never wanted to release it because she saw how poorly the single was received and she wanted to put that behind her.
At the same time, it is believed she chose not to put the video out because of how racy it is – and she’s definitely trying to move away from that image, towards a more clean-cut one.
“The video, directed by Hype Williams, features a greased-up Kim crawling and writhing on the floor,” TooFab writes of the video for “Jam (Turn It Up).”
“There are extreme close-ups of famous behind – four in the first 22 seconds alone (yes, one blogger counted)!” the e-zine further notes.
Indeed, there are several close-ups of Kim’s most famous asset, but her cleavage is also heavily featured in the 55 seconds leaked online.
“Of course nowadays, Kim finds such shots ‘really rude’,” TooFab adds, hinting at an interview in which Kardashian said she didn’t like it when photographers sneaked behind her back to take a photo of her (in)famous posterior.
The same media outlet also points out a strange coincidence: the music video snippet has leaked precisely as some unnamed “third party” has offered to buy all the rights to that homemade tape Kim made with Ray J, with the explicit purpose of pulling it off the market completely.
The blogosphere is abuzz with talk that it’s Kim who’s willing to spend a small fortune to make sure people forget how she got famous in the first place – but that’s just unconfirmed speculation at this point.
