Preview of Adam Lambert’s ‘If I Had You’ Music Video

Adam Lambert has finished shooting the video for his latest single off the “For Your Entertainment” album and, thanks to Entertainment Tonight, fans have a first glimpse of how it will look with a behind-the-scenes preview. As the video below will also confirm, Adam sat down with ET to talk video concept and even his upcoming Glam Nation Tour.
The interview also includes footage from the actual video set, showing Adam in the spiked platform boots we were telling you about a short while ago and what looks like a psychedelic magic forest, where he’s having a party. When asked about how he came up with the idea for the video, Adam says one of the highlights of his career so far has been that of making videos for his music and thus allowing his fans to see just what he means by it.
For “If I Had You,” the idea is very simple, though described in a very elaborate and eye-catching manner: nothing matters in this life, except love. “The theme of this video today is, quite basically, no matter how much money you possess or material things you accrue in life, if you don’t have a connection and love, it’s worthless,” Adam says. As for the vid, it will be glam in typical Adam fashion. “We’re in full hi-ho Silver glam… And cracked out on Red Bull! So it’s the beginning of a great party,” the singer explains.
He also says that most of the people featured in the video are friends of his, people he loves and holds very high, designers and performers who were kind enough to agree to appear in it. Another highlight of Adam’s career has been the possibility of going abroad to promote his debut album, a promo tour he’s just wrapped, the American Idol runner-up goes on to say. His Glam Nation Tour will hopefully come up on that list at number three – at least, that’s what Adam is striving at.
