Although it's not as well-known as Corsair, Transcend, SanDisk or Imation, the Pretec company has launched quite a few USB flash drives over time, each of them providing rather unique features, as for example the bulletproof model, reviewed last year by Softpedia.
And the company's latest announcement, made at IFA 2007, comes to complement Pretec's existing line-up with a whole new family of devices, namely the i-Disk Swing Series, an important addition to their "Store in Style" concept.

Representing a very good combo between style, advanced technology and luxury, the i-Disk Swing is available in three exquisite designs, all featuring a swiveling cover over a polished stainless steel housing as an elegant solution to protecting data.

Thus, the first model is dubbed i-Disk Swing Deluxe and is encased in a soft layer of sparkling graphite, thus meeting the demands of the most fashion-conscious of users. Moreover, it delivers quite a large amount of storage space, around 8 GB.

The i-Disk Swing Champagne features a silk-finished surface, while the i-Disk Swing Reflection is changing its mirror-like appearance from luscious black to shining silver, according to its exposure to light. Both will be available with a storage capacity of up to 4 GB and a key ring as accessory. Unfortunately, no pricing information regarding these new products is available for now.

According to the company's own statement, with the i-Disk Wave 8 GB and the new i-Disk Swing Deluxe, Pretec introduces its new concept of "double speed, double capacity", which means that they actually want to double the speed and storage capacities provided by these things without actually increasing their size. It remains to be seen whether they'll actually manage to do so or not and we're also looking forward to reviewing one of these things, for a more comprehensive view on their capacities.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
