Prestigio’s products usually target the European budget market

Intel has already started pushing its chips to white-box tablet producers in an attempt to maximize its profits. We have seen countless products powered by Intel’s architecture in the last few months and European manufacturer Prestigio is getting ready to do the same.

You might remember Prestigio as being the producer behind the MultiPad 4 Diamond tablet which features a gorgeous luxury diamond cut.

Anyway, the company is gearing up to produce a new 7.85 tablet which will come equipped with a sweet Intel CPU and ArcTablet already managed to produce a couple of pictures of the device, if you’re curious.

The upcoming Prestigio will enjoy a dual-core Intel Z2580 treatment (a processor clocked at 2.0GHz) and 3G connectivity (apparently, this is the first 7.85-inch Intel powered tablet with 3G). And that’s about it, as far as interesting specs go.

There’s nothing special in the resolution department, as you have your average IPS screen with 1024 x 768 pixels. Prestigio will fit everything with 1GB of RAM plus 16GB of internal memory and Android 4.2 is set to be the pre-installed operating system.

That’s about it for now, but I’ll return when there’s more info about the slate, like for example what kind of cameras are we going to have here.
