Prestigio has recently released a new firmware for its MultiPad 8.0 HD tablet. Version 1.0.42 comes with new preinstalled apps, updated user agent profile for Android browser and APN/SPN files, as well as fixes for Skype, video player, Chrome browser, sound recorder, and Wi-Fi.

The installation procedure is simple and requires you to download the Prestigio MultiPad 8.0 HD tablet firmware 1.0.42 and extract the archive to an accessible location on your PC.

Next, back up all data on your tablet because the update will erase all there is on the device's flash memory and reset it to factory defaults. After that, power off the device and use a PC to format a microSD card to FAT32 file system.

From the newly extracted files, select the ones contained in the “Firmware” folder and copy them to the memory card, then safely remove it from the PC.

Insert the newly created update card in the tablet and then press and hold the “Power” and “Volume +” buttons simultaneously until the first boot logo appears. After this, the unit will enter update mode and will reboot automatically when it finishes.
