Back in December I brought you news about a new Prestigio tablet, which was supposedly in the works in partnership with Microsoft.

A Microsoft employee was actually the one who leaked a picture of the upcoming MultiPad Visconte tablet on his Facebook account. Anyway, the tablet was expected to arrive bundling Windows 8 or Windows RT.

Now fresh information discloses Prestigio is ready to pull the veil off the new product (via Mobilissimo), so I can finally tell you the default operating system is going to be Windows 8.1 after all.

Apart from that, the MultiPad Visconte will draw power from an Intel Celeron N2805 processor (part of the Bay Trail-M platform) and will come equipped with a keyboard dock (probably with an extra battery inside too).

So there you have it, another Bay Trail Windows 8 laptop/tablet hybrid is getting ready to be released and I expect this one to come with an affordable price tag.
