It appears that device manufacturer Prestigio is working on a new tablet. A picture of the device has been spotted on a Microsoft employee’s Facebook page, so it seems we’re dealing with a real slate here.

Prestigio offers budget smartphones and tablets to consumers around the world and has just introduced a line of luxury diamond cut tablets, called the MultiPad 4.

The new device is seemingly dubbed the Prestigio MultiPad Visconte and, at this point, we can only speculate the tablet might end up running Windows 8 or Windows RT. What other reason would it have for popping up on the page of a Microsoft employee?

Prestigio might want to break the ice and step out of the safe Android heaven to prove that Windows 8 slates can sell for affordable price tags, as well. Unlike the MultiPad 4, the tablet will sport a slightly larger frame, featuring a 10-inch screen.

More information about it will probably appear soon, but at the moment there are no details available about it on the Prestigio web page.
