It's just another perk for American president Barack Obama that actors from films come to his house to screen their movies. But chances are that Matt Damon and George Clooney, two of the biggest names in Hollywood today, didn't mind when they were invited for a private screening at the White House.

The historical movie which is based on real life events of how a group of men traveled through war-torn Europe to save some of the most important works of art from German Nazi troops.

Apart from the president, also present at the screening was the First Lady Michelle Obama, as well as one of the original members of the Monuments Men, Harry Ettlinger, historian Robert Edsel who wrote the book the movie is based on and Sara Bloomfield, director of the US Holocaust Museum, according to Entertainmentwise.

The movie is especially important for George Clooney, who not only stars in but also directed and produced the movie. Though his movie hasn't fared quite well with critics, Clooney says it felt very comfortable behind the camera, which means he might turn it into a career if he ever gives up acting.
