Who knew he could do it? Obviously, not his team. President Barack Obama proved nay-sayers wrong at a recent fundraiser, belting out a few words from Reverend Al Green's “Let's Stay Together.”
Held at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, the fundraiser saw the President help raise over $3.1 million (€2.39 million) for various organizations in NYC, but also try his hand at live performing.
“I... I'm so in love with you,” he sang, before turning to his people backstage to gush about his feat.
"Those guys didn't think I would do it. I told you I was gonna do it. Don't worry Rev, I cannot sing like you, but I just wanted to show my appreciation,” the President said, smiling.
Above is the video. Enjoy.
