Amidst massive speculation that the Michael Jackson fans saw on stage at the beginning of the month, announcing one final tour before presumably retiring from music altogether, was not even Michael but just a very convincing lookalike, Ian Halperin says more is to come. The singer’s unofficial biographer claims Michael is in for a complete makeover before the tour kicks off, which will become possible with plastic surgery, as The Sun can confirm.

In his entire career in the spotlight, Michael and his management have only admitted to two surgical interventions on the nose, both of which have been meant to help him sing better. Speculation about how much plastic surgery the singer may or may not have had has always been a favorite topic with the tabloid media – and it is precisely this that is now getting with Halperin’s more recent statements.

“Michael has consulted some of the world’s best cosmetologists and surgeons in preparation for this comeback.” Halperin shares, as quoted by the aforementioned media outlet. In all fairness, he could be speaking the truth, since he was once close enough to Jackson to know certain aspects of his life that remained hidden to the public, but that does not guarantee that he still is so, as neither does it mean he is in a position to make assumptions or statements of this kind, MJ fans and a few media outlets are pointing out. Halperin is the author of the “Unmasked: The Michael Jackson Story” unofficial biography.

As noted above, talk of more plastic surgery in preparation for Michael’s comeback emerges in the midst of a lively debate on whether the one announcing the series of shows at the O2 Arena in London was really Michael or not. As we reported over the weekend, skeptics would incline to believe that it was not (just a very convincing impersonator), because the person on stage had a chin that was too square, too bassy a voice and was much taller than the real Michael.

The singer’s camp has put down all speculation in this sense as completely ridiculous, even joking that if whom the Michael fans saw was not the real Michael, it was because Elvis was mingling with the media representatives at the press conference. One can’t but go on a limb out there and admit that there is some truth to what they tell about never being able to have two legends in the same place.
