The director who made a name for himself by bringing dead people back to life in 'Night of the Living Dead', 'Dawn of the Dead' and 'Land of the Dead' is heading to the set of another film meant to raise chills down our spine.
'Solitary Isle' draws its inspiration from a short story written by Koji Suzuki ('The Ring', 'Dark Water') and tells the uncanny story of an expedition to a desert island that goes terribly wrong when the adventurers are faced with a deadly and unknown force.
The project will be produced by Hyde Park Entertainment and Kadokawa Pictures and its estimated budget is not to go above the $25 million limit.
When 'Solitary Isle' will be finished, it will probably be distributed by 20th Century Fox. Other names that have been circulated in relation to the film are those of producers Jennie Lew Tugend, Lauren Weissman, Shinya Egawa and Peter Grunwald.
No word yet on the cast of 'Solitary Isle' or the approximate date of going into production.
