In case you were holding off from buying a premium version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 handset, you might want to know that such a device is currently said to never arrive on the market.

The phone, supposedly called Galaxy S5 Prime, has made it to the headlines quite a few times before, but it seems that chances for it to arrive on shelves are getting slimmer.

Instead, users might be provided with the option to grab a certain Galaxy F handset, which has emerged in a leaked press render today, and which will reportedly turn out to be all that Galaxy S5 Prime was supposed to be.

Samsung itself said several months ago that a premium version of the current flagship handset was not planned, yet the company also suggested that it was indeed working on a new, higher-end series of devices.

According to some of the latest reports on the matter, the Samsung Galaxy F might be the first handset in the series, and it might also replace the popular Galaxy S series.

Basically, this would mean that no Galaxy S6 will arrive on the market, but that users will be provided with other options from the South Korean mobile phone maker. And these new models might be even more appealing when compared to the current series, it seems.

As mentioned above, the Galaxy F has been spotted online before, though the new leaked image with it, available courtesy of evleaks.at, gives us a better look at what it might have to offer.

The mobile phone appears to feature a metallic body with a brushed finish, as well as a thin bezel around the large touchscreen display.

Leaked info on the handset suggests that it would sport a 5.3-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a Quad HD resolution, and that it would be powered by a Snapdragon 805 processor.

By the looks of it, this is indeed the long-rumored Galaxy S5 Prime, though supposedly set to arrive on shelves under a different name.

No official confirmation on the device has been provided as of now, and even the leaker suggests that the rumor might not pan out in the end, so take the above with a big grain of salt (especially since the date on the phone’s screen is February 24, the day when Galaxy S5 went official).

Hopefully, Samsung will unveil some more info on this premium device sooner rather than later, so keep an eye on this space for additional details.
