14 DAY TRIAL // Kim Kardashian announced that she and husband Kanye West were expecting their second child less than a couple of weeks ago, and she’s already stepped in several impossibly tight outfits. She also told the media that she hoped Kanye would help her dress this time around, because he didn’t want to get involved when she was carrying North and that caused many sartorial disasters.
According to a new report from Life & Style magazine (video below), she’s already feeling that the pressure from Kanye is too much. The man has this very strict idea of fashion and it doesn’t take into account the many inconveniencies of pregnancy.
Kanye won’t let Kim have a more casual, relaxed pregnancy
Insiders close to the couple insist that Kanye is the one behind Kim’s more recent, impossibly tight outfits, the kind that would stress out a non-pregnant, less curvy woman than Kim as well.
Even worse, he has no intention of backing down any time soon.
“Kanye would never allow Kim to wear sneakers, stretch pants and a loose blouse,” says the tipster. “His rules include high-end couture designers, always formfitting. And high heels are a must.”
Apparently, high heels and designer shoes are a must even in a severe case of water retention, which is what happened when Kim was pregnant with North and her Givenchy shoes made her feet look like strangled sausages. If the report is accurate, Kanye was behind this outfit and he will probably push Kim to do a repeat of some sort very soon. He doesn’t care for her comfort and tries to do away with her doubts and insecurities by telling her that whoever criticizes her is a “hater.”
In the end, he will probably get his way, because Kim wants to do everything “for her man.”
Kanye is Kim’s personal stylist
You can count at least on this part of the above report being true: Kanye is Kim’s personal stylist and he often chooses the clothes and accessories she wears, as she admitted in several older interviews.
One of the first things he did when they started dating was to go into her wardrobe and “help” her clean it out. He’s been calling the shots on her sartorial choices since, with Kim proudly saying on every red carpet that he’d picked out the outfit for her.
That said, Kanye is probably not the one to blame for Kim’s uncomfortable pregnancy fashion. Kim has said before that she can’t stand flats and even defended her choice to wear heels during the pregnancy on TV.
So if she really hates this photo of herself squeezed too tight in clear Givenchy heels, it’s all on her.
