For some, it’s difficult to find the motivation to hit the gym as they said they would in one of their “get healthy resolution” moments. For Lea-Ann Ellison, weightlifting is a lifestyle she didn’t ditch even when she became heavily pregnant.

Attached to this article is a photo of Lea-Ann working out while 8 and a half months pregnant. It’s just one of the pics that she posted on her Facebook page, which have drawn so far thousands of comments and the ire of many specialists, pregnant women and regular Joes.

The problem, at least where they’re concerned, is that Lea-Ann, though a professional bodybuilder who swears by Cross Fit, is straining herself and risking the health of her baby by doing such hardcore moves and lifting so much weight.

Perhaps just as bad is the fact that she’s posting the photos online, as if they were something meant to be inspirational for other women, when they’re just plain ol’ dangerous.

Of course, Lea-Ann doesn’t lack supporters, men and women who say that, if she was active before pregnancy and continued working out through it, she runs zero risks now, and who believe her example is commendable.

The 35-year-old mother appreciates both reactions and accepts them as people’s right to speak their mind.

“I want to thank everyone for their kind and supportive responses! Haters will hate and it's ok. My life is not their life thank goodness! Lol! Again, thank you! It means so much to feel this much love from a community I adore,” she writes on her Facebook.

An older post on Bodybuilders holds the answer to why she kept on training so hard during her third pregnancy.

“I have always loved athletics and fitness. After the birth of my second child, I knew I needed to step it up big time! I loved being a Mom but I wanted to be a HOT Mom,” she wrote.

“This is just the beginning for me and I assure you there are big things to come for this Hot Mom,” Lea-Ann promised at the time.
