14 DAY TRIAL // Shannon Rogers Guess Richardson, whose name fans of “Vampire Diaries” or “The Walking Dead” might already be familiar with, has been arrested on the suspicion of having sent three poisoned letters to President Barack Obama, NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg and director of Mayors Against Illegal Guns.
The letter to Obama was intercepted in April, as we also reported at the time.
The FBI has already confirmed the arrest, NBC reports (see the video below).
The 35-year-old Texas actress is now reportedly pregnant with her sixth child and had previously told the FBI that she had solid reason to believe her husband had mailed the ricin-laced letters.
He was arrested but not charged with anything because investigators did not have enough proof against him.
“Investigators have been probing who sent the three letters, all postmarked May 20 from Shreveport, La. and sent without a return address, authorities have said,” NBC reports.
The letters to Obama and Bloomberg were discovered during routine screening processes, while the third one was opened. All three were laced with ricin.
According to reports, all three were a form of protest against proposed gun control regulation.
“You will have to kill me and my family before you get my guns,” the letter addressed to Mayor Bloomberg read.
“Anyone who wants to come to my house will get shot in the face. The right to bear arms is my constitutional God given right and I will exercise that right till the day I die,” the message continued.
NBC notes that the toxin ricin kills within 36 hours and has no antidote.

If Richardson is found guilty, she stands to get 10 years behind bars.
