Although gaming desktop PCs are far less popular nowadays than they used to be a couple of years ago, that's not stopping Acer from pushing out more such products, the latest we've come across being the Predator G3600 system.

Acer's always been quite careful as far as the external design of its predator machines is concerned, and the new G3600's no exception to this rule, given the fact that the case sports a mix of matte and glossy surfaces, for an enhanced visual effect.

On the other hand, the G3600's case also sports a couple of very interesting functional features, since the audio and USB connectors have all been placed right on the top side of the case, while the back handle allows users to carry the case around in a fairly fast and easy manner.

Another interesting innovation is represented by the optional Easy-Swap Hard Drive Bay, that allows users to exchange HDDs fast and easy, by simply replacing them with a fresh unit once the old one is filled with data.

Now, moving to the hardware components that make up the new Acer gaming desktop, we'll have to start by mentioning the fact that it's built around the second-generation Core processors from Intel (Sandy Bridge), accompanied by a variety of latest-generation NVIDIA graphics cards, this also being the reason why the system is listed as 3D Vision – ready.

Plus, the Predator G3600 can support up to 3 x 2TB HDDs, packs up to 16GB of DDR3 memory, and also offers gamers plenty of connectivity and networking options, whether we're talking about its built-in memory card reader or Wireless-N module, among other things.

Sadly, sticking to its usual policy, the company's not yet provided any pricing and/or availability details, but it's safe to say that we'll most likely see the new Acer Predator G3600 make its way onto the market over the next couple of months.
