14 DAY TRIAL // Making sure they get the next-generation iPhone 6 in time is a problem that can send some in Apple Store queues for days in a row. Even before Apple announces the future iPhone you can pre-order yours and you can even turn it into a really expensive gold-plated toy.
A company from Los Angeles has published their new line of customized iPhone 6 phones. They do not guarantee the look and feel of the device, but that doesn't mean they can’t cover it in pink gold and adorn the Apple logo with precious stones if you want to.
Brikk designs and manufactures products and accessories for technology and lifestyle industries. They use rare materials and complex processes to create unique products and they make the point that some of the money they get from high-end consumers will go to the poor.
The surprise came along with their new iPhone 6 Lux collection. There are 14 different models in this selection with prices ranging from $4,495 (€3,345) to $8,795 (€6,545). The cheapest model will get you a black iPhone 6 with a back plate made of 24K yellow gold.
The most expensive one is a black-finished iPhone with a 950 platinum back cover and diamond logo that will get a 128GB flash-based chip. Brikk says the phone will be released in September or October and the platinum is laid in a thick layer covering all areas of the iPhone 6.
The Diamonds are over 1 carat and have a DE color and clarity of VVS1. They are set in a custom-machined bezel in the shape of the Apple logo.
The iPhone 6 sold by this company is already unlocked, so you can use it anywhere in the world. The phone will have a 4.7-inch diagonal screen and the maxed out capacity. It does not come in the regular iPhone box, but a custom metal one with Brikk’s logo. They will also provide 3 different USB Power adapters that work pretty much anywhere in world.
To preorder it you need to pay $500 (€372) as a security deposit. Once the iPhone 6 is released, they will show the real image of the phone and they promise customers that they will ship the device within four weeks after the official launch date.
Apple did not announce the official release date. However, rumors based on supply chain insider information say the tech giant will reveal the new iPhone 6 on September 19 and will launch it in the stores around the world a week later, on September 25.
