The Android-based LTE smartphone has just been unboxed

Verizon Wireless was supposed to have the HTC Rezound available on its network only starting with November 14th, yet it seems that the device has already started shipping to end-users.

Some of those who pre-ordered the mobile phone say that their units have started arriving, while others have been informed that they will be receiving their handsets before the end of this week, Phandroid notes. The unboxing video embedded above comes as proof of that.

Most probably, someone at the wireless carrier mixed up the shipping dates and pushed the new device to users faster than expected.

However, since DROID celebrates its second anniversary, an early shipping Rezond sounds like a great gift for Verizon customers looking to get some Android-powered LTE goodness in their hands.

And with Motorola DROID RAZR set to arrive on shelves in a matter of days, things just couldn't line up better.
