Media Molecule and Sony are revealing the details of the pre-order campaign that will target their LittleBigPlanet game. From the way the Sony PlayStation blog entry is formulated, it would seem that the publishers intend to make it so that each major retailer has a different promotion tied to LittleBigPlanet. There are no details yet on which retailer will receive a certain bonus, but there are some pieces of information available regarding the objects that will be offered.

First up, there's an official Brady Games guide to the game, called LittleBigPlanet Creator, which will provide players with all the information they need to crack open the tools that ship with the release and begin creating their own adventures.

Then, there's a Sticker Book full of LittleBigPlanet images that can be detached and applied to anything from computer screens to dishwashers and a LittleBigPouch that can be used to keep the player's copy of the game safe.

There are also two Sack costumes on offering, depicting famous PlayStation 3 videogame characters: Nariko Sackgirl's and SackKratos' with attached blades. You can download and use them in the game if you pre-order it.

It's interesting to witness the lengths that publishers will go to in order to secure a pre-order from a gamer. LittleBigPlanet has been hyped up as one of the biggest fall releases for the Sony made gaming console, so low sales numbers are really not an option, especially if the company wants to continue the good trend on which its games division has been lately. More innovative incentives, like those above, are required to differentiate games on a much more crowded market and Collector's Editions (we can only imagine what that will contain for LittleBigPlanet, as an announcement has not been made) are also used on a larger scale as a way to boost sales.

As soon as Sony offers more data regarding the launch of LittleBigPlanet, we will surely let you know it.
