BioShock Infinite can now be pre-loaded on the Steam digital distribution service as those who pre-ordered or pre-purchased the game can begin downloading the necessary files that weigh in at around 15GB.

BioShock Infinite is eagerly awaited by millions of fans from around the world, with many looking forward to seeing how developer Irrational Games manages to improve upon the very impressive BioShock 1.

After unlocking all the different pre-order bonuses on Steam, the PC version of the game can now be pre-loaded on the digital distribution service.

Those who pre-purchased the game only need to select the title in their library and choose the pre-load option, according to the Steam forums.

Steam will then download around 15GB of data but you won't be able to play the game until its actual release date of March 26.

Pre-order bonuses, like BioShock 1, Team Fortress 2 items, or the free copies of XCOM: Enemy Unknown are supposed to appear in the Steam accounts of those who pre-purchased BioShock Infinite soon.
