14 DAY TRIAL // You'd think that, after pulling a couple of similar stunts with actors on the red carpet at different events around the world, people organizing such event would consider to ban the man who gets a kick out of making everyone uncomfortable.
Ukrainian reporter Vitalii Sediuk managed to pull another outrageous stunt on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival when he stuck his head under the dress of actress America Ferrera. Shortly after, he was grabbed and pulled away by security men, but not before the entire embarrassing moment was photographed and plastered all over the media.
America Ferrera is best known as the actress from the series “Ugly Betty,” and she showed up at the Cannes Film Festival wearing a plunging cream dress with puffed out skirt. At the moment the incident with Sediuk took place, she was attending the “How to Train Your Dragon 2” premiere.
The New York Post reports that a man identified as Sediuk, dressed in a black tux for the occasion, jumped on the red carpet and tried to lift her dress to climb under. Photos show him immediately being dragged away by security forces, who were tugging on his legs.
The actress didn't seem to be harmed in the scuffle, despite the fact that Sediuk tried to grab a hold of her leg and keep his head firmly under her dress.
This isn't by far Sediuk's first red carpet prank. He also famously kissed Will Smith at the “Men in Black 3” premiere in 2013, he stormed the Grammys stage in 2013 and got arrested for it.
This year, he's already been busy, getting into trouble at the SAG Awards, when he buried his face in Bradley Cooper's crotch and later, in February, did the same thing with Leonardo DiCaprio at the Berlin Film Festival.
Amazingly, apart from the Grammys arrest, Vitalii has a pretty clean record, as many view his awkward pranks on the red carpet as just “his shtick,” something he does. Most of his victims choose to take the funny way out and dismiss the incident with a smile and a raise of the shoulders.
The only one that actually took action against Vitalii was Will Smith, who was caught off guard by the journalist trying to kiss him on the lips. The actor pushed him away and slapped him as he said, “Hey man, what is your problem?” For this, Smith received a lot of backlash from the press.
