The Czech Republic's Prague Zoo has high chances to soon receive lots of visitors, and not because it plans to start handing out free popsicles and other treats that some people simply cannot stay away from.

On the contrary, wildlife enthusiasts will flock to this zoo hoping to catch a glimpse of three very rare Amur leopard cubs recently born at this facility.

The leopard triplets are the offspring of a female named Khanka and a male known as Kirin. The leopard mom is about three years old, whereas the dad has been around for four years now.

According to Zoo Borns, the cubs currently live with their mother in an enclosure that visitors do not have access to.

They will, however, go on public display once they grow strong and confident enough to be able to handle the stress of being in the spotlight.

Of the three cubs, one was born with a genetic mutation that caused it to develop nearly black fur. The good news is that neither the cub, nor its siblings or its mom seem to mind its odd appearance.

Conservationists estimate that, presently, there are about 30 Amur leopards left in the wild in the Russian Far East. Hence, the species is listed as a critically endangered one.
