Powerline Network Adapter for Mac Released - 10 Times Faster than DSL

- Route your network through the electrical lines that are already built into your home or office

By: Filip Truta, Apple News Editor

MacWireless has just released the Powerline Network Adapter for Mac, a device that provides speeds of up to 10 times faster than DSL, the company claims. The networking solution is said to be particularly useful when your wireless signal has to deal with "enemies" such as concrete, metal, or other obstructions in the walls of your home or office. The Powerline Network costs $49.98. Interested parties should note that at least two Powerline Network Adapters
are required to setup a powerline network.

Powerline Network Adapter offers a simple powerline network setup and is ideal for putting Access Points on multiple floors, MacWireless claims, adding that Mac users can connect to a powerline network with a single port ethernet switch.

"Powerline networking allows you to route your network through the electrical lines that are already built into your home or office," the company states on its website. "With speeds up to 10 times faster than DSL, this is a great way to get your ethernet network to other floors or rooms in your building, without the need to run wires. Powerline Network Adapters are particularly useful when concrete, metal, or other obstructions in the walls of your home or office block your wireless signals."

MacWireless has optimized its online support process by providing full product documentation and information to help with prompt and easy resolution of your technical questions or issues. MacWireless made its first appearance at MacWorld 2002 in New York. Prior to that, MacWireless had been operating for 12 years under the name API Engineering. Back then, they designed, developed, and licensed over 30 hardware products for the foremost names in Mac networking, the company's website reveals, mentioning names such as Farallon, Asante, Dayna Communications, Newer Tech, and Focus Enhancements, which are the companies such products were made for.

MacWireless now supplies top-notch wireless products for Apple's Macs and offers a full line of innovative 11b and 11g wireless solutions, including cards, routers, antennae, and boosters. MacWireless also specializes in accessories for the Apple AirPort Base Station.
