jAlbum, a tool that can be used to create online photo albums and that has built-in support for organizing and editing images, is now at version 12.1.8 and is available for download.

jAlbum, a suite of tools that can be used by photographers, various organizations, or casual users has received a small maintenance update. This is not large enough for comparison with version 12, which was a massive upgrade for the application.

According to the changelog, the skin info window now also displays the physical location on the hard disk, the AlbumImage.applyFilter API now passes variables bound to the corresponding album object if the AlbumImage has been created with an AlbumObject as a parameter, the CropFilter and the FixedShapeFilter can now accept custom per-image crop regions, and the bundled skins "Turtle" and "Fully" have been updated.

Also, a bug that has been causing image corruption on certain images when editing recently modified captions has been patched, "Make changes" is now respected again, and an occasional error about "not being in pause state" that occurred during the album upload has been fixed.

A complete backlog of changes and new features can be found in the official announcement. You can download jAlbum 12.1.8 right now from Softpedia.

The application does carry a price, but it's free for non-commercial use.
