QtAV, a powerful media playing library based on Qt and Ffmpeg that features some interesting options, is now at version 1.3.1.

Even though there are a lot of other libraries out there that could do the job just the same, QtAV comes with a few bundled examples. Users can learn how to write a player and what the library is capable of.

One of the biggest changes in QtAV 1.3.1 is the introduction of OpenAL support, although this is just an initial stage and more will arrive on this front.

Also, various hardware decoding crashes have been fixed, Allwinner's CedarX hardware decoding support has been added, FFMpeg log and error handling have been fixed, AVDictionary support for decoder and demuxer has been added, and more.

Check out the official changelog for a complete list of fixes and new features. Download QtAV 1.3.1 right now from Softpedia.
