According to UPI, South Carolina lottery officials mention that he lives in the Columbia area and add that this is the second time he ever plays the lottery.
He bought the lucky ticket at a Murphy Express on Wednesday, in Lexington. His goal was buying hot dog buns but, since the store didn't carry any, he bought a few tickets instead.
He spent $20 (€15) in total and he has bagged the grand prize of $400M (€296M). If he opts for the cash upfront payout, he will only be getting $223M (€165M).
