Most of you are probably familiar with CyberLink and its products. For example, PowerDVD has been one of the best ways to get DVD running in Windows and the same software made it to Android too, a while back.

But the company has other products up its sleeve too, like the PhotoDirector photo editor which has just been launched as a dedicated Android app destined for tablets.

Because photo editing is best performed on tablets, out of all mobile devices, the company has taken it upon itself to deliver desktop editing functions to the palm of your hand.

PhotoDirector for Android provides photography enthusiasts with key features to help them edit and improve their raw shots.

Some of the key features you’ll find with this is up include the ability to quickly correct white balance, brightness, darkness, exposure, adjust saturation, skin smoother or eyesore remover.

The app bestows over 70 effects and adds and adjusts HDR effect by virtue of a few simple touches. However, be warned the app is “almost” free. The base version is ad-supported so you won’t be able to perform “object removal” for an unlimited number of times.

A $4.99 / €3 in-app purchase will resolve the issue and further allow you to save images up to 2560 x 1920. The app has been made available in the Google Play store, so if this appeals to you, head on over and download it.
