Back at the beginning of October, PowerColor announced us that they have finalized the design of a high-end custom HD 6970 graphics card known under the name of Devil 13, and now this GPU has finally made it to retail in Europe.

Pricing for the card seems to be set at €428, about $599 US, which makes it quite a bit more expensive than other solutions based on AMD's Radeon HD 6970 graphics core.

As mentioned above, when it designed the Devil 13 HD6970, PowerColor went with a special cooling system which uses a pair of 92mm fans.

The company says these provide 60% better air flow than a regular 80mm fan, and are seconded by four large copper heatpipes with a 8mm diameter to draw the heat away from the GPU and into an aluminum heatsink.

In addition to the cooling assembly, the PCB of the Devil 13 was also redesigned to fit better quality components, such as a 12 phase VRM, a proadlizer chip and Direct FET capacitors.

All these modifications should help improve the overclocking headroom of the card, and PowerColor has also included a special OC mode that can be activated by a simple flick of the switch.

When this OC BIOS is used, the graphics card will raise its GPU frequency from the stock 880MHz to an impressive 960MHz, wile the 2GB of video buffer will work at 1425MHz compared with the 1375MHz of the stock BIOS.

To better cater to the needs of overclockers, PowerColor's latest creation is equipped with a series of voltage measurement points and also includes a special LED that changes color in order to show the working status of the GPU.

Outside of the video card itself, the Devil 13 HD6970 is also bundled together with a matching tool set.
