PowerColor, one of the many graphics card manufacturers that can provide you with custom-designed Radeon graphics card, has announced today the debut of a new graphics card that makes use of AMD's HD 5770 graphics processing unit. Dubbed PLAY! HD5770, the new card has been specifically designed for the mainstream segment and users that are looking to build themselves a computer system which can meet their multimedia performance requirements.

“PLAY! HD5770 supports all the latest technology including ATI Eyefinity, ATI stream and DirectX® 11 technology; enables all gamers to experience the step-ahead performance compared with Green party,” says Ted Chen, CEO of TUL Corporation. “Also, with customized cooling fan, PLAY! HD5770 offers maximal OC ability in a cool working environment; we believe it is the best choice for gamers!”

Featuring an Artic Cooling fansink, the card has been equipped with a 92mm fan that's claimed to be more efficient and cooler than what you'd get with a reference board. In addition, the card comes with the 128-bit memory interface and support for DirectX 11 applications and ATI's CrossFireX and Eyefinity technologies, all of which should make your gaming experience more enjoyable.

Getting right down to the numbers, the card has been featured with a GPU clock speed of 850MHz, while the memory frequency has been set to 1200MHz, with the card boasting 1GB of GDDR5 memory. In the connectivity department, the card comes with a DVI, DisplayPort and HMDI ports.

Considering that AMD expects no shipment issues with its line of Juniper 40nm GPUs, this card should be a noteworthy alternative for users planning on building themselves a HTPC or a gaming-capable computer system within an affordable budget. According to PowerColor, it should be available starting November 30, with pricing set to start at US$159.
