If you are among those computer and gaming enthusiasts that are always on the lookout for the latest, high-end hardware components, then these days you are probably looking for the latest deals on the AMD Radeon HD 5800 Series GPUs. These cards currently deliver the best performance on the market, featuring a 40nm GPU and support for Microsoft's DirectX 11 API. On that note, for all those computer and overclocking enthusiasts out there, PowerColor has just announced a collaboration with EK Water Blocks, a company that specializes in the development of liquid cooling solutions for hardware components.

According to the collaboration between the two companies, users will soon be able to take advantage of a new Radeon HD 5870-based graphics card, which will be designed to incorporate one of the cooling solutions offered by the aforementioned company. The new Radeon HD 5870 LCS will likely be among the first Radeon graphics cards to be featured with this cooling solution in AMD's new HD 5800-series.

“PowerColor always tries to bring gamers a superior and out-of-box gaming experience,” said Ted Chen, CEO of TUL Corporation. “The partnership with EK sets up another milestone in the market and I believe this soon to be part of PowerColor LCS lineup's product can fulfill the needs of hardcore players.”

Unfortunately, the graphics card maker hasn't detailed its product's technical specifications, such as clock speeds or memory amount, but there's a good chance that the new card will be clocked at stock frequencies and consequently enable computer enthusiasts to overclock it themselves.

The EK waterblock will be available for other Radeon HD 5870 graphics cards, starting October 9, while the PowerColor HD 5870 LCS should also become available in the retail channel very soon, so be sure to keep a close eye on your local retailer.
