The frequencies are not modified, but the cooling system is better

TUL Corporation, an exclusive manufacturer of AMD graphic cards, has just released today the company’s custom design of the HD7800 series cards, on its official website. We’re talking about the PowerColor HD7870 and HD7850.

PowerColor claims their HD7800 series is packed with selected power kit and efficient cooling system, and with solid capacitors that will enhance the stability and thermal capacity of the cards.

The PowerColor HD7870 GPU is clocked at 1000 MHz core speed, and the memory is running at 1,200 MHz.

The HD7850 has 860 MHz GPU core frequency and 1,200 MHz memory frequency.

Both cards come with frequencies equal to AMD’s own reference designs, but in good PowerColor tradition, the cooling systems are superior to the ones on the reference cards.

Only one picture was made public on the official website, which suggests that the same type of cooling will be used for both implementations of the 28 nm GPUs.

Of course, all the cards come with PCI Express 3.0 support that doubles the bandwidth when compared to the previous PCIe 2.0 generation.
