Steve Huffman and Alexis Ohanian, the founders of the famous reddit.com website, decided to sell their first two PowerBooks in order to donate the revenues to The American Brain Tumor Association. The Apple laptops include a 1.5 Ghz PowerPC G4 processor, 1 GB RAM memory, 80 GB hard drive capacity, 15 inches screen size and the original Mac OS X. The offer also includes Human Clay, a special album that must be bought by somebody since its owner tried to sell it several times without any luck. "The American Brain Tumor Association will be receiving 100% of the proceeds from this sale. I cannot stress enough how much we hate brain tumors," Alexis Ohanian wrote in the eBay description.

"This auction also includes the original 15" software and paperwork (as well as a copy of OSX) but I lost the goods from my 12". It also comes with 3 power adapters (don't ask where the 3rd one came from) and nifty padded cases to carry your new puters in," he added.

At this time, there are no less than 24 bids, the current bid offering $921.11. The bid will be ended in 3 days and 7 hours, the PowerBooks being shipped for $60.00.

"Owning these laptops will of course do nothing to guarantee the success (or failure) of your web 2.0 startup; it just seemed like a nice pitch. Please hurry and bid before we fall even further into Internet obscurity!!!" the owners urges the consumers to buy the PowerBooks.

As I said, the entire package also includes the Human Clay album that "has nothing to do with reddit.com, but I've tried giving this CD away for quite some time, but haven't found anyone to take it. It's in great condition, as I only had the strength to play through it once."
