The folks at Max MP have just released a new version of their music player application for Android devices, PowerAMP. The major update brings support for the first Ice Cream Sandwich device, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, as well as other improvements and bug fixes.

PowerAMP 2.0 relocates the Full Rescan option one level up in the Settings menu. The option is useful for full rescan when SD card is switched with another one, as the application does not remove songs when the memory card is pulled out.

In addition, the latest version of the application won’t sync its library and playlists to unmounted memory cards. The developers also fixed an issue with the playlist reset on certain devices that have two or more storages. Other bug fixes and stability improvements have been added as well.

PowerAMP 2.0 is now available as a free download via Android Market and is compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up.
