Not even death can stop Michael Jackson from continuing his legacy as one of the most influent singers in the industry. A second posthumous album called “Xscape” is in the works and is said to be ready to hit the shelves as soon as May 13 this year.

Based on a report from DigitalSpy, Jackson's estate plans to bring the album with previously unreleased songs. These will include eight new tracks that have been “contemporised,” meaning that they were given a modern twist, by famous musical producers such as Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, Jerome “Jroc” Harmon and John McClain.

“Modern music and artistry would look and sound completely different if not for the groundbreaking contributions Michael Jackson gifted to the world,” said the curator of the project, LA Reid.

“Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with,” he added.

The title track “Xscape” is said to be the only song that has been modernized by its original producer Rodney Jerkins, after it was originally recorded for the 2001 album “Invincible,” but never made the final tracklist.

It was later leaked on the internet back in 2002, but it was swiftly taken down by Jackson's attorneys who threatened legal action if the song wasn't immediately taken down from download.
