A brand new survey focusing on Ubisoft’s Assassins’ Creed franchise has been leaked on the web, which asks fans to choose from several possibilities the historical period and location they want in the next games from the series.
The Assassin’s Creed has made Ubisoft a ton of money in recent years with very successful iterations but now it’s time for the series to move on, as the trilogy of titles focusing on Ezio Auditore is drawing to a close with Revelations, which appeared earlier this month.
Ubisoft is wasting no time, however, as barely did Revelations appear on the market and it’s already making surveys and asking loyal fans of the series their thoughts on where and when the next game, probably Assassin’s Creed III, might take place. There are plenty of possibilities highlighted by the company in the survey and you can check them all out below, via Empire State Gamer. “Among the following propositions, in which of the following historical periods and locations would you like one of the next Assassin's Creed games to take place?” • The violent conflicts of the Imperial Dynasties in Medieval China • The advent of the mighty British Empire during Victorian England • The culmination of the Pharaoh Reign in Ancient Egypt • The invasion of the Americas by the Spanish Conquistadors • The confrontation between British colonists and Native Americans during The American Revolution • The overthrow of the Tsar Empire by the Communists during the Russian Revolution • The Warlord Battles in Feudal Japan • The rise of Caesar's Empire in Ancient Rome As you can see, the choices range from periods and locations set after the last few Assassin’s Creed titles, which took place in the sixteenth century during the Italian Renaissance, but also include a few older options, like with the Roman Empire, Medieval China or Feudal Japan. Among the choices above, what would be your favorite location for the next Assassin’s Creed game? Share your thoughts in a comment below.

| Comment #1 by: Chris on 30 Nov 2011, 21:39 UTC | reply to this comment | Russia or Victorian England weve already had Italy and I think Egypt would be too similar to Turkey |
| Comment #1.1 by: Hallyday on 15 Jan 2012, 23:58 GMT | i disagree in way!! egypt firstly has nothing quite important after jesus untill today!! so egypt normally would be similar to damascus and jerusalim i mean from architectonic view!! |
| Comment #2 by: Lefal gamer on 01 Dec 2011, 00:54 UTC | reply to this comment | Although the option is not there I would like to see it take place in late 18th centuary France about the time of the revolution :P |
| Comment #2.1 by: EpicHistorian on 05 Dec 2011, 07:21 GMT | Agreed. The French Revolution has tons of room for a new Assassin to emerge. Maximilien Robespierre and Napoleon Bonaparte would make a fantastic Templar leaders, and certain events like the storming of the Bastille, the Reign of Terror, the Cult of the Supreme Being, the rise of Napoleon, and the Napoleonic Wars in general would be able to weave seamlessly into the plot of the Assassin's Creed universe. You could even name this new Assassin Aleron, which is a French name originally means "eagle," and frankly sounds badass. I think I've made my case. |
| Comment #2.2 by: Hallyday on 16 Jan 2012, 00:05 GMT | epichistorian's thought i believe it would be the best choice ...firstly because it is settled 200 something years after Ezio like Ezio was 200 something after Altair... so it could be very cool and secondly in France in this period it would be extremely convinient for parkour thing and all this stuff...moreover the name Aleron is very cautchy and there are a lot of important historical personalities in this period so i vote this one |
| Comment #3 by: BosBuh on 01 Dec 2011, 18:46 UTC | reply to this comment | I agree. Russia or the British Empire. St. Petersburg or London would be stunning. |
| Comment #4 by: d4nnysp3nc3r on 01 Dec 2011, 22:36 UTC | reply to this comment | Victorian England all the way. The industrial revolution would provide a gritty atmosphere for the game, also they could have 'Jack the ripper' as a templar-sponsored murderer, with a hidden agenda. It could tie in where the protagonist discovers that he is killing coutesans/prostitutes. |
| Comment #5 by: Pete on 02 Dec 2011, 18:38 UTC | reply to this comment | Victorian England or Russian Revolution, the others sounds good but these stand out. |
| Comment #5.1 by: Hallyday on 16 Jan 2012, 00:01 GMT | GUYS THINK ABOUT IT!UBISOFT WOULD'NT CREATE A GAME IN RUSSIA REVOLUTION BECAUSE THERE IS ALREADY AN ASSASSIN IN RUSSIA IN THIS PERIOD NIKOLAI ORELOV!!SO IT IS POINTLESS TO CREATE A GAME IN THIS PERIOD WHEN AN ASSASSIN IS ON ACTION ALREADY!!DESPITE THE FACT HE IS IN A COMIC SERIES |
| Comment #6 by: Josh on 05 Dec 2011, 07:39 UTC | reply to this comment | It should be the uprise of the colonists against the British during the American Revolution. Then people like Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson can be part of the game. It would be quite interesting and historical. |
| Comment #7 by: yaarbulle on 06 Dec 2011, 10:16 UTC | reply to this comment | i think last and third options are best..>! |
| Comment #8 by: Kevski on 07 Dec 2011, 08:59 UTC | reply to this comment | Im going for Japan or China, something entirely new. Since we practically had Ancient rome already in Brotherhood. and Egypt more or less with revelations. Also since 'The Fall' comic was situated in Rusia already, I think that Locations in asia will provide exiting new architecture to climb, and the times of warring emperors and warlords in china or japan will provide epic battles between the templar and assassin orders. Personally I prefer Japan over China, but either of them would be nice! |
| Comment #10 by: spugesdu on 09 Dec 2011, 01:49 UTC | reply to this comment | China and Russia really stand out, but Victorian London would just be an incredible experience. It was by far the largest and most diverse city in the world at the time, and it opens up the opportunity for a bit of globe-hopping to India, South Africa and so-on. I so hope it's London this time. |
| Comment #11 by: Sebgab on 09 Dec 2011, 18:25 UTC | reply to this comment | Russia, Britian or French Revolution |
| Comment #12 by: thunder face on 10 Dec 2011, 01:43 UTC | reply to this comment | I think ancient egypt or in ancient rome but im sure whatever you pick it will be fun |
| Comment #13 by: Ric on 10 Dec 2011, 16:23 UTC | reply to this comment | I just hope they keep it as a male assassin! |
| Comment #14 by: Lionel on 11 Dec 2011, 10:27 UTC | reply to this comment | its better to have Japan coz all of this AC trilogy was all in europe maybe its time to change the location, feudal japan would be great |
| Comment #14.1 by: ausassassin on 15 Jan 2012, 22:31 GMT | change of location? go downunder to australia |
| Comment #15 by: praks on 13 Dec 2011, 05:19 UTC | reply to this comment | victorian england and british colonies |
| Comment #16 by: daxter23 on 14 Dec 2011, 21:48 UTC | reply to this comment | How about none of the above, and just keep it in Modern Time? An entire Desmond storyline. And nothing else. |
| Comment #17 by: jamesy on 15 Dec 2011, 16:52 UTC | reply to this comment | i like the idea of industrial london, but think that the french revelution would be alot better, i think maybe if they manage to get a story with both citys in it. if not then i think the french revelution would be the best, even though industrial london would be an amazing map, it wouldnt really have the best story line compared to the revelution. |
| Comment #18 by: Venni on 16 Dec 2011, 22:43 UTC | reply to this comment | I think what they should do is include all of these areas except for Ancient Rome and Feudal Japan. I feel that Ninjas and Assassins aren't the same thing. Anyway, In the story they have multiple temples where Piece of Edens are located. So they could have Desmond in real time travel to areas like England, Mexico City (Spanish Conquistadores), St. Petersburg, and Egypt. Then he could use the apple to relive an assassin from that area in order to find the locations of the Temples. This is just my thought but I think it could work |
| Comment #19 by: skutdog on 19 Dec 2011, 04:01 UTC | reply to this comment | I reckon Feudal Japan or the Spanish Concquistadors |
| Comment #20 by: Farhad on 29 Dec 2011, 05:09 UTC | reply to this comment | Would it hurt u to put ancient Persia ?
God *
The assassins started from Persia
By hasan i' Sabah in Persia
The real assassins castle wasn't in massyaf it was in ghazvin Iran
The Alamut castle |
| Comment #22 by: Gotham on 02 Jan 2012, 21:53 UTC | reply to this comment | I really think taking the assassins too china or Japan wouldn't work I think the best possible locations are Russia or Georgian or Victorian Britain lots of history rapists murderers poverty civil war what else do oh need perfect for a assassins creed game! |
| Comment #23 by: Botham on 08 Jan 2012, 10:19 UTC | reply to this comment | I think they should choose one of theese for assassins creed 3. However use all of theese after it. I mean what should happen is they should make a game based on each of them and you follow a different person each time instead of desmond. So it continues the series on as a sub series. You know like one every year |
| Comment #24 by: barioth on 11 Jan 2012, 20:22 UTC | reply to this comment | china, or japan- ac III needs to change assassins creed like acII did to the original-there need to be a twist and break in the scenery and culture-each game(1 and 2) have been drastically different in location and assassins creed 3 need this too. |
| Comment #25 by: i on 15 Jan 2012, 22:29 UTC | reply to this comment | i think it should be somewehere like australia, an uprising place and not one already established, it would be a massive change to landscape and could include stuff like the Eureka stockade rebellion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eureka_Rebellion) |
| Comment #26 by: AZkid on 16 Jan 2012, 06:42 UTC | reply to this comment | I think it should be in 1942 Singapore and Johor during the Japanese invasion and occupation while the British and Australians are trying to regain their southeast Asia footholds. Kinda like in Revelations where you cross the Golden Horn a lot by boat, you could cross the Straits of Johor from Singapore Island to Johor or vice versa. |
| Comment #27 by: lol on 17 Jan 2012, 01:25 UTC | reply to this comment | Remember in Assassin's Creed 2? the statues of all the famous assassin's? why don't you just choose one of them to use as the next installment of Assassin's Creed? |
| Comment #28 by: icarus on 17 Jan 2012, 01:28 UTC | reply to this comment | A female Assassin would be nice for a change, or maybe play as both a male and female assassin. I think it should take place in Victorian England. And then maybe moving up slowly to modern time playing as Desmond. Another thing, maybe there should be a subject 18 too. |
| Comment #30 by: ch on 29 Jan 2012, 15:24 UTC | reply to this comment | i think it should take place in a time where desmond can learn how to use guns because of the bleeding effect but im not saying to just jump to modern times im just saying that the next game should take place around the 18 hundreds and im american but i know that if they just go to the american revolution that would ruin the hole game i think they should have the next game take place in an uncomen place in europe during the 1800's like ireland, the canary islands, malta, holland, or monaco |
| Comment #31 by: truefan on 08 Feb 2012, 01:07 UTC | reply to this comment | Wow, all you people are very stupid. Are you forgetting about the actual STORYLINE of Assassins Creed. If you have beaten revelations then you would know. 1) Ezio's and Altair's stories are finished. 2) Desmond and company now know where Altair's apple is in REAL TIME. 3) Desmond now knows what he has to do, he is at the location where he has to do it and i'm assuming he has the tools to do it with. So after finding out all that, why would Ubisoft feel the need to insert a useless ancestor when we already have most of the answers. Its up to Desmond now to finish up the series; no Victorian England, no feudal Japan, no Egypt! Just Desmond and(I'm assuming) New York. Sorry to burst your bubble. |
| Comment #32 by: Nabeel on 23 Feb 2012, 07:52 UTC | reply to this comment | I think egypt is best. Pyramid story vry vry intrstng |
| Comment #33 by: patic on 24 Feb 2012, 20:58 UTC | reply to this comment | definetly french revolution...i don't wanna think of anything else american civil war especially...i already had a heart attack when i realised that ezio was responsible for the byzantine empire not being reestablised(i'm greek)
but that was for the best of humanity(those days and maybe these too) i forgave him...so FRENCH REVOLUTION remember UBISOFT and change the script before october.... |
| Comment #34 by: Matt N on 21 Mar 2012, 01:06 UTC | reply to this comment | I think Athens Or Corinth Greece would be cool to go to | |
