Agreed. The French Revolution has tons of room for a new Assassin to emerge. Maximilien Robespierre and Napoleon Bonaparte would make a fantastic Templar leaders, and certain events like the storming of the Bastille, the Reign of Terror, the Cult of the Supreme Being, the rise of Napoleon, and the Napoleonic Wars in general would be able to weave seamlessly into the plot of the Assassin's Creed universe. You could even name this new Assassin Aleron, which is a French name originally means "eagle," and frankly sounds badass. I think I've made my case.

epichistorian's thought i believe it would be the best choice ...firstly because it is settled 200 something years after Ezio like Ezio was 200 something after Altair... so it could be very cool and secondly in France in this period it would be extremely convinient for parkour thing and all this stuff...moreover the name Aleron is very cautchy and there are a lot of important historical personalities in this period so i vote this one

Victorian England all the way. The industrial revolution would provide a gritty atmosphere for the game, also they could have 'Jack the ripper' as a templar-sponsored murderer, with a hidden agenda. It could tie in where the protagonist discovers that he is killing coutesans/prostitutes.

Victorian England or Russian Revolution, the others sounds good but these stand out.

It should be the uprise of the colonists against the British during the American Revolution. Then people like Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson can be part of the game. It would be quite interesting and historical.

Im going for Japan or China, something entirely new. Since we practically had Ancient rome already in Brotherhood. and Egypt more or less with revelations. Also since 'The Fall' comic was situated in Rusia already, I think that Locations in asia will provide exiting new architecture to climb, and the times of warring emperors and warlords in china or japan will provide epic battles between the templar and assassin orders. Personally I prefer Japan over China, but either of them would be nice!

French revolution

China and Russia really stand out, but Victorian London would just be an incredible experience. It was by far the largest and most diverse city in the world at the time, and it opens up the opportunity for a bit of globe-hopping to India, South Africa and so-on. I so hope it's London this time.

i like the idea of industrial london, but think that the french revelution would be alot better, i think maybe if they manage to get a story with both citys in it. if not then i think the french revelution would be the best, even though industrial london would be an amazing map, it wouldnt really have the best story line compared to the revelution.

I think what they should do is include all of these areas except for Ancient Rome and Feudal Japan. I feel that Ninjas and Assassins aren't the same thing. Anyway, In the story they have multiple temples where Piece of Edens are located. So they could have Desmond in real time travel to areas like England, Mexico City (Spanish Conquistadores), St. Petersburg, and Egypt. Then he could use the apple to relive an assassin from that area in order to find the locations of the Temples. This is just my thought but I think it could work

I think they should choose one of theese for assassins creed 3. However use all of theese after it. I mean what should happen is they should make a game based on each of them and you follow a different person each time instead of desmond. So it continues the series on as a sub series. You know like one every year

china, or japan- ac III needs to change assassins creed like acII did to the original-there need to be a twist and break in the scenery and culture-each game(1 and 2) have been drastically different in location and assassins creed 3 need this too.

i think it should be somewehere like australia, an uprising place and not one already established, it would be a massive change to landscape and could include stuff like the Eureka stockade rebellion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eureka_Rebellion)

I think it should be in 1942 Singapore and Johor during the Japanese invasion and occupation while the British and Australians are trying to regain their southeast Asia footholds. Kinda like in Revelations where you cross the Golden Horn a lot by boat, you could cross the Straits of Johor from Singapore Island to Johor or vice versa.

Remember in Assassin's Creed 2? the statues of all the famous assassin's? why don't you just choose one of them to use as the next installment of Assassin's Creed?

A female Assassin would be nice for a change, or maybe play as both a male and female assassin. I think it should take place in Victorian England. And then maybe moving up slowly to modern time playing as Desmond. Another thing, maybe there should be a subject 18 too.

i think it should take place in a time where desmond can learn how to use guns because of the bleeding effect but im not saying to just jump to modern times im just saying that the next game should take place around the 18 hundreds and im american but i know that if they just go to the american revolution that would ruin the hole game i think they should have the next game take place in an uncomen place in europe during the 1800's like ireland, the canary islands, malta, holland, or monaco

Wow, all you people are very stupid. Are you forgetting about the actual STORYLINE of Assassins Creed. If you have beaten revelations then you would know. 1) Ezio's and Altair's stories are finished. 2) Desmond and company now know where Altair's apple is in REAL TIME. 3) Desmond now knows what he has to do, he is at the location where he has to do it and i'm assuming he has the tools to do it with. So after finding out all that, why would Ubisoft feel the need to insert a useless ancestor when we already have most of the answers. Its up to Desmond now to finish up the series; no Victorian England, no feudal Japan, no Egypt! Just Desmond and(I'm assuming) New York. Sorry to burst your bubble.
