Posh Spice is being investigated by licensing bosses, amid allegations she stole the logo for her fashion range from QUEEN ELIZABETH II.
Victoria Beckham used a crown symbol on her line for label Rock & Republic, which is said to be similar to the crown the Queen wore at her coronation and which now adorns the uniforms of the Beefeaters who famously protect the Tower of London.
"We'll be looking into it.
If she copied the design unofficially then we can take action, including stopping sales or obtaining a share of profits", a source at Britain's Office of Public Sector Information, which licenses royal emblems, was quoted as saying.
According to a spokesperson for the Tower of London, where the Queen's Crown Jewels are stored, "The images are protected by copyright. You can't just go and reproduce the image."
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the former SPICE GIRL, quoted by Contactmusic, insisted:
"It's the crown she and DAVID (her soccer star husband) both use. I believe they designed it together.
It's trademarked so I don't see the problem."
