Posh Reveals Her Spotty Forehead

Spotty skin, shadows under their eyes - the celebrities we so often see strutting around catwalks and on red carpets are in the end only human. In a better world, I'd probably be able to say that this is OK and that there is nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed of, on the contrary. But in the merciless world of today, where the fashion critics never sleep and the spotlights are always on, it's almost a catastrophe to be caught with your guard down and you pimples on - or so it seems , from the amount of publicity these shots of Victoria Beckham have been getting over the past days.

The fact is that, as always, there is more than one side to the story. Victoria Beckham is not exactly controversy-free when it comes to her looks - and recently she was even dubbed by the American magazine "Radar" as being a pointless collection of body parts. Plus, there's that fact that the once-famous Posh Spice had been increasingly struggling to get out of her husband David's shadow and become famous again for her personal achievements and not simply for being a famous footballer's once-famous wife.

Only it's a bit like that add for Sprite, if you remember it - in which someone was saying that people can smell despair. Well, it's pretty much the case with Victoria, who did everything in her power to make herself as visible as possible and - in recent months - take America by storm with her fragrance, clothes and her sometimes extravagant and deliberately over-the-top fashion sense.

So, the question becomes, just how bad is it for a woman who does her best to attract attention to be photographer looking...not bad, but herself? It's almost like watching an animal skinned alive - Victoria without her tons of make-up on gives pretty much the same impression. There's nothing wrong with having pimples - and by the looks of it, she does have some skin problems, but so do millions of women around the world - and there's also nothing wrong with wanting to hide them and look her best. But the fact is, when you're aiming for perfection and you make yourself look flawless every single day, having pimples is more than a giveaway - it's like statement saying "I am like the rest of you".

But does normality work for Victoria? The immediate answer to that would be no, it does not - because, well, it's what she seems to fear the most. Her fashionable lifestyle and extreme preoccupation for details have made her an easy target whenever she slipped from the line she herself has drawn. But minus the make-up and mood lighting, Posh revealed a tiny glimpse of her true self to the world as she was leaving Geri Halliwell's Hampstead home after an evening there with fellow Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm - and the world apparently hates it. Just how big of a surprise is that for you?
