Pontification is a 2D platformer developed by Team Pontification and it will available for a multitude of platforms, including Linux.

Some developers want their story to stand out from the rest of the crowd. Pontification is bound to be a game with a controversial storyline, especially because it involves the Vatican and the Pope.

Pontification puts players in the role of Father O’Brien, a priest that just died. He discovers that the afterlife is not what it has been promised by the Catholic faith and he decides to investigate the source, Vatican City.

The ultimate goal of Father O’Brien is to possess the Pope and reveal the truth about the Catholic Church, during the annual address in St.Peter’s Square, for Easter Sunday.

There aren’t many details about the gameplay, but the developers have published a few screenshots.
