“Arrested Development” got a new lease on life thanks to Netflix, which picked it up and brought it back to fans with a brand new season, its fourth.

As happy as the fans must have been, they did not completely overlook the fact that Portia de Rossi looked different in the face.

In fact, after the season premiere became available on Netflix, they were already on social media discussing the possibility that the actress got some extensive work on her face, which made her practically unrecognizable from her younger self, TV Guide reports.

“Portia de Rossi, who reprised her role as ‘activist’ Lindsay Bluth-Funke, looks vastly different on screen than she does in more recent interviews and photos. The noticeable change in her appearance has led many viewers to wonder whether de Rossi had had plastic surgery,” the TV-focused publication writes.

Many agree on that Portia got some extensive work right before getting back on the show, but there are also those (fewer, it’s true) who think the difference might be on purpose.

“Some fans speculate that the jarring difference may have been intentional, to imply that the vain and self-absorbed Lindsay had a botched plastic surgery in the seven years between Seasons 3 and 4,” the same media outlet writes.

The actress has not been available for comment on these reports, but an inside source tells E! News that all of the above is just imagined because she clearly has not had any work done.

“She's absolutely not had plastic surgery. Her character is clearly wearing a wig, which ended up altering her entire look,” says the unnamed source.

“It's no secret she credits her youthful look to her being a vegan for the last five years,” adds the tipster.

In a recent interview with People magazine, Portia said that she had no intention of getting work done because she loved her aging face.

“The one thing I don't wanna do is chase what I looked like at 20. People do think I look younger than I am because I dress like a teenager,” she said.
