Porteus 2.0 RC2 Is Based on Linux Kernel 3.7.5
A few major bugs have been ironed out in this version
Porteus, a portable Linux operating system which can be installed on a USB device, CDROM, SD card or hard drive, and based on the Linux Live Scripts, has just reached version 2.0 RC2.Porteus 2.0 RC2 has been released for the 32-bit and 64-bit architectures and it's the first distribution in the series based on Slackware 14.0.
Highlights of Porteus 2.0 RC2:
• Linux kernel has been updated to version 3.7.5;
• A bug with linuxrc not ejecting CDs in 'copy2ram' mode has been fixed;
• A function has been added to rc.M to disable discrete video card for PCs with dual graphics setup;
• A function for setting the brightness when booting on battery has been added.
