Portal, an innovative single-player game developed and published by Valve, has been launched officially on Linux for a couple of days now.

We’re offering you a short screenshot tour in order to get a sense on what this game looks like on a Linux platform.

Portal was first released back in 2007, along with Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2. Almost six years have passes since then, but the engine is still holding up.

Even if the Linux platform can't keep up with the sheer number of technologies for the Windows platform, it's still nice to see that the differences aren't that great.

When all the other Source-based games from Valve arrive on Steam, they will probably be the best looking titles on this platform.

According to Valve, the game is designed to change the way players approach, manipulate, and surmise the possibilities in a given environment.

More details about Portal can be found on the Steam website.
