Portal, an innovative single-player game developed and published by Valve, has been launched officially on Linux and already received a few patches.

Portal was first released back in 2007, along with Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2. Valve still needs to update this old title, especially now, after being made available on Steam for Linux.

Highlights of the latest Portal updates:

• The audio is no longer being cut off when using non-English audio; • An occasional save game corruption that occurred when running under Linux has been fixed; • A crash, which occurred when the user changed the video options in a level and then tried to go through multiple portals quickly, has been fixed.

Keep in mind that Portal is still in the beta stages and problems are bound to appear. More details about the patch can be found on the official website.
