Just as video game developer Valve has released the Perpetual Testing Initiative free downloadable content for Portal 2, the company has also announced that its platforming and puzzle title has managed to sell more than 4 million units all over the world.

Savid Sawyer, who is one of the level designers who worked on Portal 2, offered the sales franchise, meaning that the game has managed to reach in a little over one year the same sales total reported by the original game of the series during its lifetime.

Gabe Newell, the leader of Valve, recently revealed that the Windows and the Mac versions of Portal 2 have managed to sell better than the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 ports.

The Perpetual Testing Initiative includes a new Puzzle Maker that allows players to create and share their own levels for Portal 2, increasing the amount of content that fans can experience without paying anything directly to Valve.
