Until a few years ago, all gadgets were dependent on a bundled charging adapter or station, otherwise they became useless after their initial battery charge got consumed.

Nowadays, it is possible to circumvent the problem by using things called portable battery packs/rechargers.

Nokia has just released some, or rather one that comes in four different case colors: white, red, yellow and blue.

Designed in the shape of a tile, the DC-18 portable charger has a 1,720 mAh cell battery inside and an LED level indicator.

More importantly, though, there is a micro-USB cable that doubles as a switch. It is that cable that allows the energy to be transferred to smartphones, tablets, portable music players, etc.

Sadly, pricing and availability information does not exist yet, not anywhere I could find it.
