Pinnacle announced the launch of a TV tuner that is specially designed for laptop and notebook users and which can bring High Definition TV programs to your mobile computing platform in just a few minutes. Apart from being extremely mobile and easy to install and operate the new Pinnacle TV tuner comes packed into a single robust casing that also houses the receiving antenna.

The Pinnacle PCTV HD Ultimate TV tuner is the latest of the TV tuners aimed at the mobile computer market segment which were designed and manufactured by Pinnacle in an attempt to attract customers as most laptop and notebooks do not come with an integrated television tuner. As this device is connectible through universally available high speed USB interface, it can also be used on desktop computer systems that have no room for an internal TV tuner.

Just like the previous versions of TV tuners, the new Pinnacle PCTV HD Ultimate supports a host of features and thanks to the integrated remote control it allows users to sit back and relax while controlling the computer from afar. When it comes to signal receiving the new tuner is able to process both analog and digital signals and it also can be used as a personal digital video recorder in order to record and store various television programs.

Unlike the Pro version of the Pinnacle line of TV tuners, the Ultimate model comes with an integrated flash memory that contains all the necessary drivers and programs in order to operate and which can also be used to store all recorded shows. Its internal storage capabilities allow it to store up to two hours to high definition TV shows.

Thanks to the embedded drivers and control programs, the new Pinnacle PCTV HD Ultimate TV tuner will always be ready to work in just a few minutes and it will not modify any settings on the host computer system. This device will be available for purchase in October and the mobile version will be available for $129.99, while the internal desktop PCI based model will cost $79.99.
