A woman in Brazil had the shock of a lifetime when, while she was busy walking her dog, a porcupine fell seemingly from the sky and landed on her head.

As if having a porcupine turn your scalp into a landing strip weren't enough, word has it that the animal left the unlucky woman a souvenir: a total of 272 quills that got stuck in her head when the porcupine collided with it.

Huffington Post reports that the woman was taken to a hospital, and a surgeon used tweezers to pull the quills out of her scalp.

She was also prescribed antibiotics, and will have to take them for a while to make sure that she does not develop an infection.

According to the same source, the porcupine survived the experience. Apparently, it landed on the woman's head not on purpose, but because it fell while trying to get a better look at the world from the top of a lamp-post.

No information concerning whether or not the animal was singing “I believe I can fly” while heading towards the ground has yet been shared with the public, but I like to think it most definitely was.
