A Bangladeshi hacker part of the 3xp1r3 Cyber Army, rEd X, managed to gain access to the server that hosted the popular Pokemon fan site from Denmark, PokeTeam.dk.
The hacker claims he only wanted to warn the website’s administrators of the vulnerabilities that exposed their assets to malicious operations.
As a result of the
breach, a number of subdomains, including
webmail, mail, rss, and
dm2010 have been defaced.
Currently, some of the affected webpages still display the defacement image and text posted by the hackers. However, some of them have been modified to redirect users to the site’s news page.
