Pope Francis is in Brazil and his vehicle has recently been sworn by crowds of believers. The incident took place after the pope's arrival in Rio de Janeiro.

According to Rio transportation secretary Carlos Osorio, the motorcade got lost on the Avenida Presidente Vargas street.

The pope's staff have declared that they have never had security concerns. However, they were worried about the crowd's enthusiasm being more than the pontiff can handle.

"His secretary was afraid, but the Pope was happy, with his hand out the window waving," Vatican spokesperson Reverend Federico Lombardi says, as relayed by Sky News.

You can see security staff running by the pope's vehicle, turning away those trying to reach inside.

One man in the crowd manages to get his hand through the open Popemobile window and it is forcibly removed.
