What goes better with a movie that pop corn? Well the Popcornhour A-300 of course, the next-generation of the well renowned Syabas networked media player, or jubebox as Syabas likes to call it.

On the outside not many things appear to have changed from the previous A-210, but on the inside we are dealing with an entirely new device.

This means that we now get a new 800MHz SoC, the SMP 8647, with a MIPS core at its heart and support for Gigabit Ethernet, Real Media decode support as well as improved codec compatibility, all packed inside a fanless aluminum case.

The user interface also saw some changes meant to make it much more user friendly, while we still have the same app market with support for various premium video services.

The A-300 media player is expected to drop in on October 18. Until then, watch the video above to take a look at the the Popcornhour App Market in action.
